Head position

- Always look straight down to the bottom of the pool

- Keep your head position in line with your body

- Only the top of your head should break the surface

Breathing

  - Keep your head as low as possible

- Only part of your (twisted) mouth should come out of the
water

- Keep one goggle in the water

- Don't press down with your extended arm

Arm stroke

- Always have a high elbow in order to stroke with your whole
arm rather than just your hand

- Stroke away from your body to be able to have a good hold of the water and to keep your body alignment steady

- Keep your fingers together

Arm stroke timing

- Have always one arm in the "front quadrant" of your body

- Start your arm stroke when the recovery arm is at your
head level

- Get that recovery arm in the water as soon as you are
starting your rotation
